A home is the most expensive purchase most people ever make. As an owner you will benefit from expert advice on the condition of your property - whether you plan to live in it, rent it out or sell it. In an RICS Home Survey an RICS professional conducts an in-depth visual inspection of the property. Their report provides an expert account of the property's condition and highlights any problems in clear and easy to understand 'traffic light' ratings.
Different homes require different types of survey. This video and the information above explains which survey we recommend for each property type. However, you should always discuss your requirements with your surveyor who will be able to advise you further.

Founded in 2006 by Matthew Symmonds BSc (Hons) MRICS, the practice has been developed using extensive experience and knowledge gained from working within some of London’s largest surveying firms, fused with a friendly, approachable manner.
Southdown Surveyors took over the management of South Cliff Tower a year ago and have proved excellent agents to date. At present the tower is undergoing a complete refurbishment programme, this has resulted in substantial service charge demands and a great deal of paperwork. It has been extremely well handled by Lynne and her team. They have dealt with managing the building with efficiency, tact and charm. We have been impressed with the breadth of knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Act, Health & Safety matters that they have displayed.
I have been most pleasantly surprised by the high-level service Southdown have supplied, they are small enough for them to know their client’s needs and for those clients to have a name and face to respond to when necessary, whilst still having qualified surveyors on board.
