When purchasing a new build property, we would highly recommend considering a snagging survey. This detects any minor or major defects with the construction of the property.
It is wise to get this survey carried out as there could be numerous defects due to the possibility of things being missed during construction. There are enormous pressures put on builders and property developers to complete homes and meet strict deadlines, therefore during the construction process it is possible for faults to occur leading to potential issues or defects. A snagging report identifies any of these defects early, before they become a bigger issue or affect you once you completed the same and moved in.
Protect your financial investment with a snagging inspection. It provides peace of mind as you will know exactly what condition the property is in that you are buying. it also offers the opportunity for these issues to be resolved by the property developers before you complete on property and without you having to pay the cost.

When Will I Receive my Report?
We will send you our findings in a detailed photographic snagging report within 5 working days. It will include all of the technical information also. We can also send a copy to your builder if required. Following receiving your report, our surveyors will remain on-hand to answers any questions you may have.
When Should I Schedule my Snagging Survey?
It is best that the snagging survey takes place prior to completion, so that all defects can be identified and rectified before moving in. However, if this is not possible, the survey can be carried out within 2 years of the warranty date.

Southdown Surveyors took over the management of South Cliff Tower a year ago and have proved excellent agents to date. At present the tower is undergoing a complete refurbishment programme, this has resulted in substantial service charge demands and a great deal of paperwork. It has been extremely well handled by Lynne and her team. They have dealt with managing the building with efficiency, tact and charm. We have been impressed with the breadth of knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Act, Health & Safety matters that they have displayed.
I have been most pleasantly surprised by the high-level service Southdown have supplied, they are small enough for them to know their client’s needs and for those clients to have a name and face to respond to when necessary, whilst still having qualified surveyors on board.
