There is a huge demand for housing and this means developments are being completed as quickly as possible. People are noticing more faults with new builds and they are becoming known for their poor quality. A snagging survey will bring up any potential defects or issues with the property. This will create a snagging list of things to consider that may cost you money once you have purchased the property. All small, large defects and unfinished work will be highlighted within the report.
This report can be used to arrange to rectify these issues before moving in.

Southdown Surveyors are RICS accredited Chartered Surveyors who have been providing a range of professional property services since 2006. We work with all residents in East Sussex.
Once we know which necessary details you require, we will arrange a convenient time and day to complete your snagging survey. Once the inspection has been carried out, we will produce a detailed report within 5 days. This will contain technical information regarding all major or minor issues with your property. A copy of the findings will be sent to the builder or developer of the property if requested. Once the survey has been completed, we are available any time to run through any queries you may have.
You can have a snagging report carried out up to 3 years of the warranty date (these time frames may differ so it is always worth double checking with your developer). We advise that the inspection take place prior to your move in date. It just makes it easier if any issues are identified that need fixing prior to you moving in.
